Good CWI opportunities are out there.

But how many give you the chance to work inside an established structural steel operation with a strong backlog of structural, bridge and heavy fabrication projects?

This is a shop-based opportunity with a business that is continuing to invest in its people, production capabilities and quality systems.

You'll play a key role in making sure complex steelwork is fabricated to the required standards - working closely with welders, supervisors, production and quality teams.

🏗️ What You'll Be Doing

* Inspect structural steel, bridge components and welded assemblies

* Carry out visual weld inspections (VT)

* Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 / D1.5 and approved WPSs

* Review drawings, welding symbols and project specifications

* Inspect fit-up, weld preparation and completed welds

* Identify non-conformances and help drive corrective action

* Maintain accurate inspection and quality documentation

* Support NDT activities including UT, MT, PT and RT where required

* Work with production teams to maintain quality and reduce rework

🎯 What They're Looking For

* Current AWS CWI certification

* Structural steel fabrication / welding inspection experience

* Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1

* D1.5 / bridge fabrication experience is a plus

* AISC fabrication experience preferred

* Ability to read structural drawings, welding symbols and WPSs

* Strong understanding of fabrication and welding processes

* NDT experience is highly desirable
