We're partnering with an established structural steel fabrication company in North Carolina that's looking for a skilled Tekla Steel Detailer to join its growing in-house detailing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys producing accurate steel models and shop drawings, working closely with fabrication teams, and seeing their work come to life on major construction projects.

Whether your background is in structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or a combination of both, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Creating detailed 3D steel models using Tekla Structures.

• Producing accurate shop drawings, erection drawings, and fabrication documentation.

• Detailing structural steel and/or miscellaneous metal components.

• Working closely with project managers, checkers, and fabrication teams.

• Reviewing architectural and structural drawings to ensure accuracy.

• Identifying and resolving detailing issues before fabrication.

• Coordinating revisions, design changes, and project requirements.

• Supporting a steady pipeline of commercial and industrial steel projects.

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with Tekla Structures - essential.

• Background in structural steel and/or miscellaneous steel detailing.

• Ideally 5+ years of steel detailing experience, although strong candidates with less experience will be considered.

• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.

• Good understanding of steel fabrication processes and detailing requirements.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a wider team.

• Willingness to work on-site in Statesville, North Carolina.

Previously worked in a steel fabrication shop before moving into detailing? We'd be particularly interested in speaking with you.

A formal degree isn't the priority here. Practical Tekla skills, steel knowledge, and the ability to produce accurate work matter most.
