Tekla Detailer - Structural Steel

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience

The Company
Good structural steel detailing is about more than producing drawings.
The model needs to make sense to the fabricator, the connections need to work, and what leaves the drawing office needs to translate into steel that can actually be manufactured and erected on site.
This is an established structural steel business delivering projects across the UK, and they are looking for a Tekla Detailer to join their detailing team and play a key part in taking projects from design information through to fabrication.
The Role
You will be working with Tekla Structures to turn engineering and design information into detailed models and fabrication drawings.
- Create accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
- Produce fabrication and erection drawings that can be taken through to manufacture and site.
- Develop details from engineering drawings and project information.
- Coordinate with engineers, project teams and other departments to resolve detailing issues.
- Review models and drawings carefully to identify clashes, discrepancies and changes.
- Support projects from initial detailing through to fabrication and delivery.
The Candidate
You will already have experience using Tekla Structures within a structural steel environment.
You should be comfortable working with structural steel models and drawings and understand how the information you produce will ultimately be used by the fabrication and erection teams.
Previous experience in a structural steel detailing environment is important.
