The Role

You will take responsibility for coordinating technical project activities, ensuring drawing office output remains aligned with project requirements, fabrication schedules and site delivery programmes.

  • Overseeing design changes, variations and technical queries throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Reviewing project-specific BIM requirements and ensuring all deliverables meet the required standards.

  • Managing external sub-contractors and coordinating their technical contributions.

  • Working alongside Project Managers to establish project phasing, lotting sequences and delivery priorities.

  • Monitoring drawing and fabrication issue schedules to ensure production targets and site delivery dates are achieved.

  • Attending design team meetings and internal project progress meetings.

  • Preparing and issuing weekly project progress reports.

  • Managing competing project demands while maintaining quality, accuracy and programme deadlines.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years' experience within the structural steelwork industry.

  • Previous experience coordinating drawing office activities, technical teams or multiple structural steelwork projects.

  • Strong understanding of BIM processes, technical drawings and design coordination.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Confident managing multiple priorities, resources and project deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, project teams and external subcontractors.

  • BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent construction-related qualification would be advantageous.

What's On Offer?
