About the Role:
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is seeking a motivated and capable Service Improvement Officer to join the Central Services team within the Housing and Safer Communities Directorate. This is a key role during a temporary staffing gap where you'll be instrumental in handling statutory enquiries and driving service improvements across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle Enquiries: Manage and respond to a range of communications including customer complaints, Member and MP enquiries, and statutory requests such as Freedom of Information (FOI), Environmental Information Requests (EIR), and Data Protection Requests (DPRs).
Service Development: Lead and support service improvement initiatives across the Directorate, identifying areas for change and delivering solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Project Support: Assist in delivering various projects and administrative activities across Housing and Safer Communities.
Team Oversight: Jointly manage the Service Improvement Assistant, providing direction and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience in customer service or public administration, particularly with handling FOIs and statutory requests.
Skilled in service improvement, process review, or change management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
Confident in managing workloads and meeting deadlines.
Previous local government experience is desirable.
