They are looking for a Senior BESS Superintendent who can take ownership of day-to-day site operations, lead from the front and ensure major energy infrastructure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
This is not a role for someone who wants to spend their day behind a desk.
They need someone who thrives on site. Someone who can coordinate multiple trades, mentor field teams, hold subcontractors accountable, solve problems before they impact the programme and keep construction moving.
You'll play a key role in delivering large-scale Battery Energy Storage and renewable energy projects that form part of a long-term investment in strengthening America's domestic energy infrastructure. Every decision you make on site will directly influence safety, quality, productivity and ultimately the successful delivery of critical projects helping shape the future of the US power grid.

The Role
You'll lead daily construction activities across Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), commercial solar and associated electrical infrastructure, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and in accordance with project specifications.
Working alongside project management, engineering and construction teams, you'll coordinate labour, subcontractors, equipment, vendors and materials while maintaining quality and productivity throughout every stage of construction.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day field operations across utility-scale BESS and renewable energy projects.
Manage subcontractors, in-house craft labour, vendors and field personnel.
Coordinate site activities with engineering, project management and estimating teams.
Ensure work is completed safely, correctly and in line with drawings, specifications and project schedules.
Plan labour, equipment and material requirements to maximise productivity.
Oversee installation of BESS equipment, balance of plant and medium to low-voltage electrical infrastructure.
Monitor construction progress and proactively resolve site issues before they impact delivery.
Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning activities and project closeout.
Liaise with utilities, regulatory bodies, consultants and key stakeholders.
Drive a strong culture of safety, quality and accountability across site.
Support workforce development, mentoring and daily reporting.
What We're Looking For
12+ years' construction supervision experience.
Previous experience working for an EPC contractor, General Contractor, Electrical Contractor or owner-side construction team.
Strong experience delivering Battery Energy Storage, utility-scale solar, electrical infrastructure or complex industrial construction projects.
Proven ability to lead large field teams and multiple subcontractors.
Experience managing medium to low-voltage electrical installation works.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling and site logistics.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and contract documents.
Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
OSHA 30 preferred.
Safety Trained Supervisor certification desirable.
Experience using Navisworks or participating in 3D model coordination is advantageous.
Valid driver's licence.
Willingness to travel or relocate for project requirements.
