The Opportunity
This is a key planning role within a busy structural steel environment, supporting the delivery of complex projects that contribute to major construction and infrastructure developments across Ireland.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and multiple live contracts, this is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Planner to take ownership of project programmes, improve visibility of project performance, and play a central role in driving delivery certainty across multiple sites.
You won't just maintain schedules-you'll shape how projects are planned, monitored, and executed, working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure programmes are realistic, robust, and aligned with commercial and operational goals.

The Role
You will:
- Lead the preparation and development of contract and project programmes for structural steel projects
- Own and maintain detailed project schedules across multiple live contracts
- Produce monthly progress reports covering milestones, resources, and productivity performance
- Monitor project trends and provide insight to support strategic decision-making
- Support tender submissions with high-quality planning input and scheduling data
- Conduct planning reviews and identify programme risks and delays
- Evaluate construction methodologies to support continuous improvement and efficiency
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, site teams, clients, and subcontractors
- Provide schedule risk analysis and mitigation recommendations
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in a planning role within construction or structural steel environments
- Strong working knowledge of ASTA Powerproject, Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Proven experience developing and managing complex project programmes
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams
Desirable:
- Experience in structural steel or heavy engineering environments
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
- Experience in schedule risk analysis and performance reporting systems
