Hours: Full-time, 36 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm)
Rate: £20 per hour

Westminster City Council is looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist (Housing Service Centre Officer) to be the welcoming face of our Housing Service Centres. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in your community by supporting residents and ensuring they receive a high-quality, professional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist residents and visitors with professionalism and empathy

  • Manage reception duties including visitor logs, appointment booking, and key requests

  • Handle queries and complaints, resolving issues at first contact when possible

  • Support vulnerable residents and escalate concerns where needed

  • Work closely with Housing Officers, Leasehold Advisors, Income Officers, and Repairs Surveyors

  • Raise repair requests and process card payments

  • Provide general administrative support including purchase orders and inventory requests

  • Make outbound wellbeing calls to vulnerable tenants

  • Act as a trained First Aider for the service centre
