Project Manager - Structural Steel

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a well-established and growing structural steel contractor based in Ipswich.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional with a strong background in structural steelwork to join a respected business delivering a diverse range of projects across the commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from initial handover through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple structural steel projects simultaneously
- Coordinating design, fabrication, and installation activities
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Monitoring project programmes, budgets, and resource allocation
- Conducting site visits and attending project meetings
- Managing contractual and commercial aspects of projects
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Identifying and mitigating project risks
- Supporting successful project delivery through to final handover
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the structural steel industry
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
- Experience managing projects from conception through to completion
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities
- Full UK Driving Licence
