Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Take ownership of projects from design through to delivery
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in structural steelwork, cladding or modular construction? Do you have the commercial awareness and organisational skills to coordinate complex projects from initial order through to manufacture, installation and final handover?
This is an opportunity to join a specialist construction business delivering a varied portfolio of steelwork and offsite building projects. Working across industrial, agricultural, commercial and modular developments, you'll bring together design, production, logistics and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
The Role

Your responsibilities will include:
Managing projects from order award and initial planning through to installation and final handover.
Coordinating design, detailing, fabrication, cladding, logistics and site erection activities.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and fabrication programmes to identify issues before manufacture begins.
Ensuring materials, steelwork and modular components are manufactured, certified and delivered in the correct sequence.
Monitoring project costs, progress and forecasts to keep delivery aligned with agreed budgets and deadlines.
Maintaining project risk registers and change logs, identifying potential delays and commercial risks at an early stage.
Managing variations and contractual changes, ensuring additional costs and scope changes are properly recorded and agreed.
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to maintain programme and quality standards.
Ensuring relevant quality documentation, certification and handover information are complete and accurate.
Communicating project progress, risks, costs and resource requirements to clients and senior management.
Resolving design, capacity and logistical issues before they affect production or site delivery.
Completing final accounts, reconciling costs and capturing lessons learned to support future projects.
About You
You'll be a proactive Project Manager who understands the relationship between design, manufacturing and site installation. You'll be confident managing multiple stakeholders, resolving practical challenges and maintaining control of both commercial and operational priorities.
To be considered, you'll ideally have:
Proven experience managing structural steelwork, cladding, modular construction or offsite building projects.
Experience overseeing projects from contract award through to installation and handover.
The ability to interpret technical drawings, project programmes and cost reports.
Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing variations, budgets and subcontractor costs.
An understanding of fabrication processes, construction logistics and site erection sequences.
Working knowledge of CE marking requirements, quality assurance and project handover documentation.
Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
The ability to build effective relationships with clients, designers, production teams and subcontractors.
A practical, organised approach to managing risks, competing priorities and project deadlines.
