Project Manager - Structural Steel & Architectural Metalwork
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Take ownership of specialist construction projects from start to finish
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a construction background who enjoys taking responsibility for projects from contract handover through to successful installation?
This is an opportunity to join a specialist steelwork contractor delivering technically challenging projects across the UK. With work spanning structural steelwork, staircases and architectural metalwork, you'll oversee the coordination of people, programmes and resources to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially.
You'll play a central role in bringing together site teams, commercial colleagues, technical departments and production to keep projects moving and deliver the quality clients expect.
The Role
As Project Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of your allocated projects, ensuring that contractual requirements, programme milestones, safety standards and commercial objectives are met.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing projects and contracts from handover through to completion on site.
Coordinating site teams and installation activities to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
Working closely with site supervisors, surveyors, commercial colleagues, drawing office and production teams.
Monitoring project programmes, progress and resources to keep delivery on track.
Managing contractual documentation, orders, bonds, warranties and associated project records.
Building effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Identifying project risks, resolving issues and communicating progress to relevant parties.
Attending site visits and project meetings at locations throughout the UK.
Travelling regularly and staying away from home when required, potentially up to four nights per week.
About You
You'll be an organised and commercially aware Project Manager who is comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders and taking ownership of delivery in a construction environment.
To be considered, you'll need:
Previous experience in a Project Manager or similar construction delivery role.
Essential construction industry experience.
A valid CSCS card.
SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
A full UK driving licence.
Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Flexibility to travel nationwide and stay away from home for up to four nights per week.
Experience within structural steelwork, staircases or architectural metalwork would be particularly relevant.
What's on Offer?
End-to-end project responsibility: Take ownership from contract management through to on-site delivery.
Varied specialist projects: Work across a range of steelwork and architectural metalwork installations.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with technical, production, commercial and site teams.
Nationwide project exposure: Enjoy variety across multiple locations rather than being tied to a single site.

Health plan and cycle-to-work scheme.
Share-save scheme.
Option to purchase additional annual leave.
37.5-hour working week, Monday to Thursday, 08:30-17:00, and Friday, 08:30-14:30.
