Structural Steel Experience? Work Remotely While Managing Major Projects.

Are you an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager looking for the flexibility of remote working without sacrificing exciting projects or long-term career progression?

We're partnering with an established, AISC-certified structural steel fabricator that's looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing team.

This is an opportunity to manage large-scale structural steel projects, including packages valued around $10M, while working remotely and taking ownership of projects from start to finish.

If you know structural steel fabrication, enjoy managing complex projects, and want the flexibility to work from home, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing structural steel fabrication projects from initial detailing through fabrication, delivery, erection, and closeout.
Taking ownership of project schedules, budgets, and overall delivery.
Working closely with detailing teams, fabrication shops, general contractors, and erectors.
Coordinating RFIs, submittals, materials, and production schedules.
Managing change orders, project costs, and client expectations.
Resolving project challenges and keeping work moving on schedule.
Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project partners.
Traveling to project sites or attending meetings when hands-on involvement is needed.

What We're Looking For

5-10+ years of structural steel fabrication or steel project management experience.
Strong understanding of the structural steel fabrication process.
Experience managing large, complex structural steel projects, ideally around $10M in value.
Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
Experience coordinating fabrication, detailing, and erection activities.
Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and change orders.
Confident communication and the ability to manage projects independently.
Willingness to travel when projects require on-site attention.

Coming from a large structural steel fabricator with around five years of solid project management experience? We'd still be interested in speaking with you.

You don't necessarily need a Senior Project Manager title. What matters most is your structural steel knowledge, project experience, and ability to deliver.

What's on Offer?

$90,000-$125,000 base salary, depending on experience.
Bonus opportunity.
Remote working with project-based travel rather than a daily office commute.
Medical benefits and 401(k).
Paid time off.
Opportunity to manage large, complex structural steel projects.
Established fabrication operations and experienced internal teams.
Long-term progression into Senior PM, Project Executive, or leadership opportunities.
A business where senior leadership also works remotely, meaning career progression doesn't necessarily require returning to an office.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This isn't simply another Project Manager position.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of significant structural steel projects, work alongside experienced fabrication and engineering teams, and build your career within a well-established business.

With a remote working structure and opportunities for long-term progression, this could be an excellent next step for a steel PM looking for both responsibility and flexibility.
