An established structural steel company in the Austin area is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee structural steel projects from initial budget through to completion.
This is a great opportunity for someone with structural steel or construction project management experience who is looking for greater responsibility, career progression and genuine ownership of their projects.
🚀 What You'll Be Doing
- Manage structural steel projects from award through to closeout.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, safety and financial performance.
- Coordinate fabrication, detailing and field erection activities.
- Work closely with superintendents, clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Review structural, architectural, shop and erection drawings.
- Manage change orders, project documentation and client communication.
- Identify and resolve issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
✅ What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience managing structural steel fabrication and/or erection projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong ability to read structural and construction drawings.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, change orders and project financials.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Tekla, FabSuite or similar software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of AISC standards and construction practices is preferred.
