About the Role
An established commercial glazing contractor in the Atlanta area is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale façade and curtain wall projects. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a strong background in commercial glazing who can manage projects from pre-construction through closeout while ensuring quality, safety, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial glazing projects concurrently, with a focus on curtain wall systems and façade packages
- Oversee all phases of project delivery including estimating support, contract review, procurement, fabrication coordination, installation, and closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with general contractor timelines
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, architects, and internal teams
- Interpret and review shop drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Coordinate with engineering, drafting, and production teams to ensure accurate and timely execution
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and handle change orders and financial forecasting
- Identify risks and proactively resolve project challenges to avoid delays or cost overruns
- Ensure compliance with all quality standards, safety requirements, and building codes
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor installation progress and maintain strong field communication
- Lead project meetings and provide clear status updates to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Project Manager role with a commercial glazing contractor
- Strong background in curtain wall systems (design, fabrication, and installation)
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex commercial construction projects from start to finish
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and technical drawings
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and site coordination
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on mid- to large-scale commercial projects (e.g., offices, high-rises, healthcare, education)
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
- Understanding of aluminum systems, storefront, and window wall systems
