The role oversees day-to-day shop operations from the moment material arrives until finished steel is shipped, ensuring production stays on schedule while meeting AISC quality standards and OSHA safety requirements.
🔧 What You'll Do
- Oversee daily shop operations from material arrival through final shipment, ensuring safety, quality, and production deadlines are met
- Supervise shop employees, including scheduling, time approvals, training, and performance management
- Coordinate fabrication priorities with management and act as liaison between the shop and office to keep projects on track
- Ensure compliance with AISC quality requirements, OSHA safety standards, and equipment maintenance/calibration
- Manage workflow, staffing needs, and overtime while working to improve efficiency and control costs
