An established structural steel fabrication business is looking for an experienced Production / Plant Manager to take ownership of day-to-day manufacturing operations at one of its Pennsylvania facilities.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership position with responsibility across production, quality, safety, workforce performance and operational efficiency.
The Role
- Lead day-to-day structural steel fabrication operations
- Manage and develop supervisors and production teams
- Drive production schedules, throughput and labour efficiency
- Maintain high standards across quality and safety
- Plan labour, equipment and material requirements
- Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks
- Reduce rework and improve overall shop performance
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs
- Work closely with engineering, project management and procurement
- Develop frontline leaders and strengthen accountability across the facility
What We're Looking For
- Strong background within structural steel or heavy fabrication
- Previous experience as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, Fabrication Manager
- Significant experience leading shop-floor teams and supervisors
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, production planning and workflow
- Proven focus on safety, quality and operational performance
- Experience improving productivity, efficiency and throughput
