🏗️ Miscellaneous Project Manager

Structural Steel Fabrication | Virginia

Some Project Manager roles are about keeping projects moving.

This one is about becoming the person clients, detailers, erectors and internal teams rely on to make sure every stage of a project comes together.

An established structural steel fabricator is looking to add an experienced Miscellaneous Project Manager to its growing team in Virginia. With a steady pipeline of commercial, healthcare, institutional and mission-critical projects, they're looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of projects from award through to close-out.

The expectation isn't that you'll know every internal process on day one but that you'll quickly take ownership of your projects and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

🏗️ The Projects

You'll be involved in a varied portfolio of structural and miscellaneous steel packages, including work across:

* Data centres

* Healthcare facilities

* Arenas

* Hotels and resorts

* Community buildings

* Higher education developments

Project values typically range between $1 million and $20 million, giving you the opportunity to manage technically challenging work while working alongside experienced fabrication, detailing and erection teams.

⚙️ Your Responsibilities

✔️ Coordinating detailing teams and monitoring drawing progress

✔️ Requesting and managing information from architects and engineers

✔️ Resolving site issues to keep projects on track

✔️ Managing change orders, pricing variations and negotiating with contractors

✔️ Monitoring job costs alongside the accounting team

✔️ Preparing close-out documentation

✔️ Building long-term relationships with clients and steel erectors

This is a hands-on Project Management role where communication, organisation and commercial awareness are just as important as technical knowledge.

✅ What You'll Bring

To be successful, you'll have:

* At least 5 years' Project Management experience with a structural steel fabricator or steel erector

* Experience managing steel projects valued between $1M-$20M

* The ability to confidently read architectural and structural drawings

🌟 Why Join?

This opportunity offers more than just another Project Manager position.

You'll join a well-established steel fabricator with a strong reputation for delivering complex structural and miscellaneous steelwork across multiple market sectors.

As the business continues to grow, there are genuine opportunities to progress into Senior Project Management or Project Executive positions for those looking to take the next step in their career.

Alongside a competitive salary of $80,000-$115,000, you'll also receive a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, 401(k), paid time off and performance-related bonuses.
