Job Title: Miscellaneous Project Manager (Steel Fabrication)
Location: Washington, D.C.
Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 + Bonus + Benefits
An established AISC-certified steel fabricator is seeking an experienced Miscellaneous Project Manager to join their Chantilly, VA office. This role will manage a variety of commercial and institutional steel packages, working closely with clients, detailers, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Day to day
- Coordinate with detailers to track drawing progress
- Manage RFIs and follow up with architects/engineers
- Perform field measurements as required
- Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, and other trades
- Schedule fabrication, delivery, and erection
- Resolve jobsite issues and support field operations
- Price and negotiate change orders
- Support job cost tracking and project closeout documents
- Maintain strong client and erector relationships
- Travel to job sites (mostly local day trips)
Requierments
- 5+ years PM experience with a steel fabricator/erector
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Civil/Structural Engineering
- Ability to read architectural/structural drawings
- Experience managing projects valued $1M-$20M
- Procore, FabSuite, and/or AirTables experience preferred
- Self-motivated and able to hit the ground running
