Housing Options Advisor
Location: Kettering / Wellingborough (4 days per week in office - non-negotiable)
Duration: 3 months
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: £28 - £30 per hour (umbrella, inside IR35)

The Role:
We're looking for an experienced Housing Options Advisor to join the Housing Options team. This is a fast-paced role supporting residents at risk of homelessness and providing expert housing advice in line with legislation and local policy.
You'll be working closely with the Triage Team, managing your own caseload of customers who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, and ensuring timely and lawful decision-making under Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
- Provide detailed housing advice and support to customers approaching the service.
- Manage a diverse caseload of homeless and at-risk individuals.
- Make statutory decisions (e.g. not homeless, not eligible).
- Negotiate with landlords, agents, and other stakeholders to prevent homelessness.
- Produce clear and concise statutory decision letters.
- Use the Jigsaw system effectively to record and manage cases.
The Candidate:
- In-depth knowledge of Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
- Proven experience in housing advice, casework, and homelessness prevention.
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Ability to manage your own workload independently.
- Experience using Jigsaw case management system.
- Must be local to Kettering or Wellingborough (no remote working option).
