An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established structural steel engineering business delivering complex projects across the UK and internationally.

Working across aviation, rail, infrastructure, and specialist construction projects, this role offers the chance to be involved in high-profile and technically challenging work within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will take ownership of key commercial activities across multiple live projects, helping to drive profitability, improve processes, and support successful project delivery.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working closely with operational teams, clients, and stakeholders while making a genuine impact on project performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage valuations, variations, and applications for payment
• Lead commercial reporting, forecasting, and CVRs
• Support procurement, tendering, and subcontractor management
• Monitor and improve commercial and cost-control processes
• Build strong working relationships with clients and project teams
• Attend commercial and project meetings as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction or structural steel
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Proactive and improvement-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence preferred
