Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer - Tower Hamlets Council

Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Contract Length: 4+ months (with potential extension)
Rate: £28 per hour (paid via umbrella company)
Working Arrangement: Primarily office-based with multi-agency engagement


About the Role

Tower Hamlets Council is seeking an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer to join our Communities Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of residents by tackling anti-social behaviour, supporting victims, and working closely with partner agencies to create safer neighbourhoods.

As an ASB Officer, you will:

  • Investigate and manage a caseload of ASB complaints, ensuring swift and proportionate action.

  • Gather intelligence and prepare high-quality evidence, statements, and court bundles.

  • Represent the Council in court proceedings when required.

  • Work collaboratively with the Police, enforcement officers, safeguarding teams, housing colleagues, and other partners.

  • Undertake risk assessments and make safeguarding referrals to protect vulnerable victims and witnesses.

  • Provide clear communication and updates to residents, keeping them informed throughout the process.


About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience in ASB case management, tenancy enforcement, or community safety.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement tools.

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with partner agencies and the public.

  • The ability to draft clear, professional reports, statements, and case records.

  • A proactive, problem-solving approach to improving community safety.
