Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Contract Length: 4+ months (with potential extension)
Rate: £28 per hour (paid via umbrella company)
Working Arrangement: Primarily office-based with multi-agency engagement
About the Role
Tower Hamlets Council is seeking an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer to join our Communities Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of residents by tackling anti-social behaviour, supporting victims, and working closely with partner agencies to create safer neighbourhoods.
As an ASB Officer, you will:
Investigate and manage a caseload of ASB complaints, ensuring swift and proportionate action.
Gather intelligence and prepare high-quality evidence, statements, and court bundles.
Represent the Council in court proceedings when required.
Work collaboratively with the Police, enforcement officers, safeguarding teams, housing colleagues, and other partners.
Undertake risk assessments and make safeguarding referrals to protect vulnerable victims and witnesses.
Provide clear communication and updates to residents, keeping them informed throughout the process.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
Previous experience in ASB case management, tenancy enforcement, or community safety.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement tools.
Excellent communication skills and confidence working with partner agencies and the public.
The ability to draft clear, professional reports, statements, and case records.
A proactive, problem-solving approach to improving community safety.
