Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Service Desk Technical Analyst based in Central Bedfordshire. This is a temporary assignment but is due to approximately a year. The role is working full time hours, on a rota system.

The position is a hybrid method of working, with some home working and some attending their main offices, so for this reason we are only considering candidates within a commutable distance. As you will be travelline between offices, access to your own vehicle is required.

In this role you be responsible for delivering customer advice, support and maintenance of issues whilst determining effective technology solutions. Role Specific Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assist the Information Technology management team in dealing with the Incident, Problem, Change and Fulfil service requests processes, maintaining customer satisfaction by the efficient handling of those processes.
* Assist the Information Technology management team by contributing to the delivery of a unified, high performing and customer-focused Service Desk and technical support function (for the technical service components) that acts as a single point of contract for service users on a day-to-day basis.
* To be responsible for delivering 1st and 2nd line support and maintenance of issues raised by the user base and one or more technology solutions delivered by the team as part of your performance contract. Taking responsibility for managing the resources ensuring effectiveness of outcomes and outputs as part of your performance contract.

We are looking for a candidate with an ITIL qualification, or similar degree level qualification. We are also looking for a candidate who has public sector experience, or experience in a large organisation. Knowledge of ICT Systems applicable in the delivery of Service Support as well as Controlling and managing IT assets (or configuration items) including hardware, software, documentation, services, suppliers and network facilities is also desired.

Please be aware this is not an entry level position. The client is very keen to speak with candidates with a decent level of experience, as this role is demanding and challenging.
