An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Work Practitioner to work in Dudley within the Family Support Services. The purpose of this role is to ensure high-quality and effective social practice in Dudley. You will lead and develop the professional practice of team members and other colleagues, and model and facilitate reflective practice.
Your role will Improve the quality of work done by social workers, and team members including effective case management, purposeful evidence based interventions, analytical assessments and high quality written work.
The post holder should have, or be willing to develop, specialist knowledge of an area of child care practice, which can be used across the service. S/he will also represent the service in developing key service provision/local strategic initiatives.
Your role will positively implement the Early Help strategy in partnership with families and other agencies. To ensure that families assessed as needing Early Help receive coordinated and timely help that meets the needs of individual children and families to ensure that every baby, child and young person acquires the social and emotional foundations upon which success depends.
Qualifications and Experience
- Significant demonstrable experience of post-qualification experience of working as a social worker in a children and families setting, including experience of court work and lead officer for Section 47 investigations.
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) recognised social work qualification and HCPC registration.
- Enhanced DBS & Police Vetting clearance.
