Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Financial Assessor based in Shefford, Bedfordshire. The role is a temporary position working full time hours. This role will be a hybrid of home working and office working so for this reason we are considering candidates within a commutable distance.
The main purpose of the role is to undertake financial assessments for customers receiving social care and to provide advice and support to customers and their representatives in all matters relating to the financial process.
You will also be required to:
-Ensure all customers required to contribute towards social care services are invoiced appropriately and that debts are paid.
-Undertake annual reassessments for all customers receiving social care services. To administer the deferred payment scheme for eligible customers.
-Provide advice and guidance to colleagues in relation to the financial assessment process.
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills to liaise with our clients or their representatives and care management teams. The successful candidate will be customer focused, organised and able to work independently but also work collaboratively and be a supportive team player.
Previous experience in financial social care and an up to date knowledge of benefits would be an advantage but training will be provided. An financial administrative background would also be beneficial.
