Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Finance Assistant based in Bournemouth. The role is 30 hours per week, with the client being flexible on which days you choose to work. This role will be mainly home working with laptop supplied. We would prefer that the candidate is office-based (Bournemouth Town Hall) for the first week induction.
You will carry out a range of technical administrative and function related duties for the finance department. Your duties will include processing payments, administering contracts and monitoring direct payment expenditure. You will be involved in the smooth operation of the Direct Payments system through maintaining accurate and up to date records and liaising with colleagues to resolve queries.
We are looking for a candidate with experience of working in an admin office undertaking technical admin duties such as writing bespoke letters, account maintenance and reconciliation, processing payroll payments etc., as well as good knowledge of specific functions such as payroll. Good communication and IT skills are also required.
