Commissioning Review Manager
£22 Per Hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commissioning Manager to work within Cardiff in the Social Services Sector. The postholder will ead a team of reviewing officers in undertaking an evaluation and analysis of the Children's Services externally commissioned placements for our children and young people who are looked after.

The review work will include the placements of children and young people as well as a holistic review of other services which the children and young people are accessing ensuring that Cardiff young people are in the right placement and that they are able to access the right support at the right time. The review will include the analysis of cost information and ensuring that contractual documentation is aligned with the support needs of the children and young people and appropriate contributions are being received from partner agencies.

The manager will support the staff group to complete the data and desk top analysis including the quality assurance of this information, lead on the review of the child's needs with the Social Work Teams and create business cases making clear and evidenced recommendations including the development of processes and procedures relating to partner contributions. The Manager will also support the Commissioning Strategic Lead Manager to undertake negotiations / discussions with external providers and partner agencies in line with the recommendations within the business cases.

The ideal person will have excellent communication, and negotiation skills and a successful track record of writing evidenced business cases. They will have experience of managing a team who are completing work on a Data Analysis / Quality Assurance basis, and an understanding of the needs of children and young people who are looked after and their families.
