Casework & Customer Care Officer
£15 per hour
Full Time Contract
We are seeking a Casework & Customer Care Officer to handle complaints and Member enquiries and provide an efficient and effective, high quality, written casework and correspondence service for Community Housing Services. The role involves providing advice, support and expertise in legislation and best practice to Housing Services through the production of regular written reports, policy development and training delivery. A basic DBS is required for this role.
Key Skills and Requirements include:-
- Good knowledge and understanding of housing, homelessness and allocations legislation and best practice and an understanding of the Section 202 Homelessness Reviews.
- Experience in delivering front line public services including homelessness and/or housing related casework.
- Ability to obtain and evaluate information about the housing and related needs of customers, to assess circumstances and needs according to legislation and policy, and to provide appropriate advice to customers.
- A clear understanding of the role of partner agencies to support and assist vulnerable people at risk of homelessness, and ability to build and maintain effective working relations with colleagues and partners.
